Greetings my South Carolina Sorors, Philos, Rhoers and Rhosebuds,
What a distinct honor and privilege to serve our beloved Sisterhood and my home state as your South Carolina Area Coordinator! I am humbled to be called upon to follow a lineage of leadership that have been difference-makers statewide, regionally and nationally. We are home to Past International Grand Basileus, Joann G. Loveless, who ignited our Sorors with her infamous mantra, “On Fire to Serve”! That ongoing passion will fuel our progress here in South Carolina as we continue to blaze trails into our highly-anticipated Centennial celebration!
Because of the leadership of our immediate past Area Coordinator, we successfully acquired our South Carolina license tag! This, paired with our stellar service and community engagement, has continued to heighten our visibility across the state. These accomplishments are an ideal segue towards my goal as Area Coordinator which is to reignite our membership and focus on strengthening all aspects of R3—Recruitment, Retention, Reclamation, with the hopes of each chapter setting goals of at least becoming Ruby Chapters. In order to be successful in this endeavor, my charge to you all is to be intentional and deliberate in the quality of your programming, build strong community relationships, and support one another while enhancing our brand.
I’m excited for the momentum that is about to take our state to higher heights, and I’m looking forward to working with everyone during the 2020-2022 sorority term! Thank you in advance Sorors and Affiliates for your hard work and dedication to keep our beacon of light shining bright as we live out our motto ‘Greater Service, Greater Progress’ right here in the Palmetto State!
Yours in Service,
Andrea M. Fleming, Ph.D., LPCS, LPC, LAC, CCS, MAC, CACII
